Carlton Matthews is the Associate Pastor of Living Hope Church in Hanover, MD. He was born and raised in the Hanover area and was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church which is also in Hanover. Carlton has been married to his wife Deidre for 10 years and they have 2 daughters together.
Carlton graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Stevenson University, formerly Villa Julie College, in Information Systems. God used this love of technology as a means of leading Carlton back to the visions that he had given Carlton as a child.
Carlton received training in Theology and Christian Leadership from Pastor Edson Weithers of Houston Christian Fellowship. Carlton served at HCF as a Usher, Deacon, Worship Leader, and Men’s Ministry Director.
After serving at HCF for 5 years Carlton, his wife Deidre and their oldest daughter were called back to MD where God placed them at Living Hope Church. Deidre and Carlton settled in at LHC and served as part of several different teams. Carlton and Deidre were appointed as members of the Elder Team where they served for 4 years. In August 2011 Carlton was ordained by Pastor Paul Schindler as Associate Pastor.
